Marylin's programs support and enhance our students' educational experience, while boosting further development and achievement in art, language and mathematics.

Livermore BELIEVES
Broadens & Enriches Lives, Instills Educational Values, Encourages Students

Livermore BELIEVES provides after school educational enrichment and support to Marylin students every day school is in session.  This free service is for all Marylin students in grades 1-5.  Applications are available in the school office.  Currently our program is full.  We still accept applications and keep a waiting list to add children as space becomes available.  Students are expected to attend daily until 6:00.  During that time they receive a nutritious snack, engage in physical activity, receive homework support, and participate in educational enrichment activities such as math, reading, art, and science.  For general program information you can contact Kim Farrand  Livermore BELIEVES Coordinator, at (925) 606-3231,
Leader In Me

The Leader in Me is a whole school transformation process.  It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.  The 7 Habits of Happy Kids are taught and practiced.  We are in year one of becoming a Leader in Me school.

1.  Be Poactive / You're in Charge

2.  Begin with the End in Mind / Have a Plan

3.  Put First Things First / Work First, Then Play

4.  Think, Win - Win / Everyone Can Win

5.  Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood / Listen Before You Talk

6.  Synergize / Together is Better

7.  Sharpen the Saw / Balance Feels Best

Thanks to various grants and donations we opened our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) lab.  Students have the opportunity to design and create various things using a Lego wall, 3 d printers, sewing machines, ipads, Dash Dot Bots, Snap Circuts, Osmo, Makey-Makey, Squishy Circuits, Code-a-pillar, crafting supplies and a green wall for film making. The STEAM Lab is a designated space for students to explore their understanding of different subjects in creative ways.  In this special place, students are learning to program robots, sew on real sewing machines, explore electrical circuitry, as well as designing and printing three-dimensional objects.  Students interact with virtual and augmented reality and unleash their imaginations.  Special thanks to our community for supporting our students in this incredible way.

In School & After School Intervention Classes

During school hours students needing assistance in reading and English Language Development (ELD) receive 30 minutes of small group instruction four days a week from Intervention Specialist.  After school students needed assistance in math receive an hour or instruction through the Acellus program twice a week.

Special Education

Students who have been assessed and qualify for an Individual Education Plan (IEP) may received services in Resource, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Adaptive PE and/or Counseling as provided in their IEP.

The Gifted and Talented Education program engages students in a variety of exciting activities.

Support good environmental practices while earning funds for Marylin: bring aluminum cans and ink cartridges to the Recycling Garden, located just beyond the foyer.

Classroom Assistance

Marylin welcomes and embraces our volunteers.  Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours, your help is valued.  Classroom volunteers help prepare homework folders, assist with specific projects.

Marylin's Parent Volunteer Group coordinates events and fundraisers, such as the Harvest Festival, Winter Festival, and much more.  All are welcome!
